Postcards from Harris: 2, Downpour

Approaching downpour, shortly after dawn, Luskentyre. Nikon D810, 24-120mm f/4G at 24mm, ISO 400, f/5.6, 1/200

As a follow up to the previous post about rainbows, what goes along with them is rain.

Sometimes the rain on Harris sweeps in from nowhere; at others, it announces its arrival with a dense swoosh of water that drenches all before it.

The picture above shows one such swoosh early one morning on Luskentyre, as it approached across Loch a Siar. And, of course, it drenched us.
