Oh, my goodness. Chuck Berry has just died.

I can't put it any better than Bruce Springsteen: "Chuck Berry was rock's greatest practitioner, guitarist, and the greatest pure rock 'n' roll writer who ever lived."

I've been listening to his songs all my life. I made the picture above at a gig in Baltimore in the summer of 1985. Not a great picture by any means -  but at least I have a personal, remembered link.
